With a balanced mix of new and old, the nominations this year really accentuate what we all have been enjoying during this quarantine.

In television and film, Netflix dominated with six nominations, including “Mank,” the drama. Another Netflix film, “The Trial of the Chicago 7” followed suit with 5 nominations.

In the television or series categories, Netflix ruled with its royal drama “The Crown” which led with 6 nominations, and the comedy which won a lot of awards last year, “Schitt’s Creek” followed with 5.

The heart-warming moments

After a battle with colon cancer, Chadwick Boseman, passed away last year at the young age of 43. He was posthumously nominated for his role in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” which is a Netflix film.

Of course, our favorite hosts, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will be returning to the event for a whopping fourth time. The Golden Globes will be taking place on 28th February, Sunday, on NBC.

The Lifetime of Achievement award will be given to TV pioneer Norman and the actress-turned-activist Jane Fonda will be presented the Cecil B. DeMille Award for her outstanding contributions to the industry.
